Can't get away from Gia...

All last week I was in attendance at a photography workshop (www.antiworkshop.com) which was held at the Alamo Drafthouse here in Austin. One day we had a photo scavenger hunt and were divided into 11 teams of 4. We had local regular people as models (thanks to my second shooter Gia and my past bride Rebecca who volunteered to be models for us). Funny how things go, I ended up with Gia as my model, out of a total of 11 possibilities. We were assigned models randomly. Here are some of my fav shots from the shoot!

To make you smile

Last week I had the chance to photography Bailey and Izzie, 2 English Bulldogs owned by Katherine. Being a dog lover, I jumped at the chance to shoot some bulldogs because they are full of personality, and Bailey and Izzie were definitely no exception. I can't help but laugh when I look at the shot of Bailey and Izzie as Darth Vader and Princess Leigha!! Hope these bring a smile to your face.

Back...

Long time no blog!! I'd had it up to here with blogger...couldn't get my photos to load at all so I sort of gave up for a while but it looks like I've been upgraded. I may also be switching blogs soon as I have a new website in the works (stay tuned for sneak peeks) which comes with a built in blog feature!

The last few months I've also been working on a rebranding of sorts. Let me know what you think of my new logo courtesy of Spoonbend Design (www.spoonbend.com) of Austin!! Along with the rebranding I'm getting new business cards, website, and a slew of other fun stuff. Stay tuned for sneak peeksI'm still waiting on my new house/studio to be completed. It's located in the green built development called Agave (www.greenmangorealestate.com) in East Austin (near where 183 and MLK meet up). It has been continually delayed. I am due to close in mid December (a whole year since I signed the contract!!) I've attached a couple pics here of the progress. As you can see I'm not afraid of color : )

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Stay tuned, I'll try to post more often now that blogger seems to be letting me post pics!

Gia+Andrew

Gia and Andrew were married in late September at Laguna Gloria. Gia has been my second shooter for over a year now. The thunderstorm cleared right in time for a gorgeous ceremony and beatiful sunset. Congratulations Gia and Andrew!

Gia's Bridals!

Gia has been my second shooter for more than a year now and she is the best!! She got married this past weekend and Diana Lott and I had the pleasure to photographer her gorgeous wedding (pics to come soon). Recently several photographers and good friends volunteered to make a day out of it and shoot Gia's bridals. We knew Gia would do whatever we asked and she did! It was so much fun. Can you imagine 4 photographers shooting you at once? Gia was a trooper! Here are some of my fav shots from the session. Thanks to Diana (www.dianamlottphotography.com), Vanessa (www.photographybyvanessa.com) and Stacy (www.smsphotography.com) for shooting along with me! Afterwards we all went to Inoteca Vespaio for a great lunch and some wine. It was a wonderful day!

Meet Moo!

I have a new puppy and his name is "moo"! He is a 6 week old Boston Terrier and he is adorable. He and his big brother Linus are getting along great so far...Moo has unusual markings for a Boston Terrier, hence his name. He even has a heart shaped mark on one side. He is my new mascot, so if you come to my studio anytime soon he'll probably be here sleeping on the floor or jumping up on your leg wanting to play! As a matter of fact, I just had a consultation here, and Moo greeted them by peeing on my rug right as they walked in. That's my boy, haha!!
